What we're eating

What millions are putting in their mouths

Most Americans today believe that we are healthier than ever probably because we're all living longer. Of course we're all living longer. Problem is, all people throughout the world are living longer for contless what should be obvious reasons. However, all developed countries throughout the world are living longer than American citizens, and are generally much healthier. Most Americans today simply don't seem to see this. Obviously, the media does not want anyone to know.$
Is this the power of non-stop corporate controlled news media and government propaganda? $
If we were  healthier, why would so many people today be taking prescription drugs? Since the mid-20th century, we've had a study increase in coronary heart disease (CHD), cancers, diabetes and countless other medical problems. Beginning in the late 1970's to early 1980's the increase in these medical problems continued to increase dramatically. Isn't this when most people really began giving up the smoking habit and began eating low fat everything, and popping pills like never before in history? $

There was a time not long ago when people went to a doctor rarely.

There was a time when you stopped by your local coffee shop or watering hole and someone would ask what you think about the weather. Today it's, who's your doctor or what drug are you taking? How's your blood pressure today Joe?
When is your next appointment? How'd those tests come out? Back in the 19th and early 20th century few people ever heard of diabetes and  no one knew what cholesterol was until just after the mid 20th.  I don't remember more than a couple of people in or outside my family in the 1950's that were being treated for heart disease risks, stroke, cancer or really any medical issue that seem to be common today. Most people got a bad cold or the flu, and at this time in history, people were smoking like trains and eating real food.

In 1971, Senator George McGovern (D) put together a so called  Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs  It took our trusted elected senator and his committee until 1977 to determine that the American people should eat a healthy diet of low fat, low cholesterol and  high carbohydrate foods. Obviously there was no rush. He didn't deem it important enough to consider any of the opposing views offered at the time regarding this diet based on the so called  lipid hypothesis.

However, the food processing industry along with heavy influence from Big Medical, Big Pharma and armies of wealthy non-profit organizations played a heavy hand in the outcome. There existed at the time opposition to this lipid hypothesis that was not seriously considered. What's shocking is what he stated at the time was that the senate didn't have the luxury to spend the time necessary to go any further with the issue. They spent 6 years to come up with their decision. With the technology today, we can actually see and hear the old black and white video of his caring decision on this subject thanks to people who have digitized his words and placed them on the Internet for the world to see and hear.

Of course, few Americans today would ever consider any information on health other than what comes from their doctor.

Perhaps this is why we are the sickest major developed country in the world. But then, how many people believe that? $

The decision made by this Select Committee on the health of the nation was a dream come true for the factory processed food industry, the medical industry, the pharmaceutical industry and countless supporting industries.

A short funny video on today's super markets

GMO Corn - ONE of countless examples of what we're eating today - All approved by our FDA

Monsanto maintains that its genetically modified (GMO) corn is nutritionally equivalent to non-GMO corn and our FDA agrees. But a 2012 report, titled 2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn, tells a completely different story.

In fact, it turns out that GMO corn is essentially nutritionally dead and laced with toxins in amounts that exceed those the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) deems safe.

Nutritionally, the study found that non-GMO corn is 20 times richer in nutrition energy and protein compared to GMO corn. Non-GMO corn has more calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, iron and zinc.

According to the report, GMO corn contains 13 parts per million (ppm) of glyphosate, the active ingredient in the popular   herbicide  Roundup. According to the EPA, the maximum amount of glyphosate allowed in drinking water is 0.7 ppm. So GMO corn contains 18.5 times the safe amount as set by the EPA. Europe allows only 0.2 ppm of glyphosate

What millions of Americans are putting in their mouths as food today is amazing. Over 90% of the floor space in an average super market today is not real food. It's food that would probably shorten the life span of a wild hug, give it cancer, heart disease or whatever. More on FDA approved garbage next page
