GMO corn also contains 200 ppm of formaldehyde, according to the EPA

Formaldehyde, a colorless, pungent-smelling gas, can cause watery eyes, burning sensations in the eyes and throat, nausea, and difficulty in breathing in some humans exposed at elevated levels (above 0.1 parts per million). High concentrations may trigger attacks in people with asthma. There is evidence that some people can develop sensitivity to formaldehyde. It has also been shown to cause cancer in animals and may cause cancer in humans. Health effects include eye, nose, and throat irritation; wheezing and coughing; fatigue; skin rash; severe allergic reactions and may cause cancer. May also cause other effects listed under organic gases.

According to one study, formaldehyde is toxic to animals in amounts of 0.97 ppm or more.
So GMO corn contains 200 times the amount shown to be safe by another of our government agencies.
Isn't that great?

Americans are eating GMO's today like they're going out of style and soon there will be few products that aren't GMO. Now more than 70% by most estimates are GMO.  Yep - your tax dollars at work by the FDA.

Inside the World Seed Racket - The world according to Monsanto

You may have heard the FDA and food industry claims that genetically modified (GM) foods are safe, properly tested, and necessary to feed a hungry world. UNTRUE! GMOs are one of the most dangerous and radical changes to our food supply. These largely unregulated ingredients are found in more than 70% of the foods in the US, Many consumers in the US mistakenly believe that the FDA approves GM foods through rigorous, in-depth, long-term studies. In reality, the agency has absolutely no safety testing requirements. Instead the agency relies on research from companies like Monsanto, research that is meticulously designed to avoid finding problems. Is this the fox guarding the hen house?
It's easy to understand the FDA's industry-friendly policy on regulation of GMOs when you see the revolving door between agency regulators and the companies they regulate. The White House mandate to the FDA under the first George Bush was to promote biotechnology and the person in charge of developing the agency's policy at that time was a former Monsanto attorney, who later returned to Monsanto as their vice president.
The FDA has claimed it was not aware of any information showing that GM crops were different in any meaningful or uniform way, from non-GMO crops and therefore didn't require testing.

But 44,000 internal FDA documents made public by a lawsuit show that this was a complete lie.

The overwhelming consensus among the FDA's own scientists was that GM foods were quite different and could lead to unpredictable and hard-to-detect allergens, toxins, new diseases and nutritional problems. It turns out that FDA scientists, who had urged superiors to require long-term studies, were ignored. Even though evidence of this apparent fraud at the FDA was presented at a Washington, D.C. press conference in 1999 with major media in attendance, the media didn't alert the public. No surprise there. In fact, most Americans know so little about this subject that only about 1 in 4 consumers even know if they've ever eaten a GM food in their lives, even though the vast majority of processed foods contain derivatives from the four major GMO crops: soy, corn, cottonseed and canola.
Today as I write this, in hundreds of cities across the US and Canada, and in at least 60 other countries, people are marching against agri-business and chemical giant Monsanto.

The world according to Monsanto.
Are American's still eating GMO foods? You betcha - and like never before.
If you control food, you have a weapon more powerful that a bomb. See short video trailor
QUESTION - Has are FDA ever been held accountable? Thanks of course a joke. Again - are we still eating GMO's? $

A look at a few of thousands of what millions of Americans are eating and drinking today

Why it's dangerous: Derived from the same harmful chemical as brominated vegetable oil, brominated flour is used to decrease baking time and reduce costs. Only problem is, it's linked to kidney damage, cancer, and nerve system damage. But who cares if we can speed up the baking process Right?

Where it's banned:  Europe, Canada, and China.

Olestra  or Olean
Lowers calorie counts while causing vitamin depletion and anal leakage.

Found in: Fat-free potato chips, corn chips, and French fries and countless other products.

BVO (Brominated vegetable oil)

Makes food dye stick to liquid, but also may cause birth defects and major organ damage.

Found in: Sports drinks and citrus-flavored sodas.

Why it's dangerous: Bromine is a chemical used to stop CARPETS FROM CATCHING ON FIRE, so you can see why drinking it may not be the best idea. BVO is linked to major organ system damage, birth defects, growth problems, schizophrenia, and hearing loss. But hey, we've been told that real animal fat is bad for our health Right?
So what's a little organ damage or hearing loss!
Where it's banned:
In over 100 countries.  But not in the USA. We are so lucky! $
