Smoking Countries
Lung Cancer & Heart Disease
A comparison of countries that typically use more tobacco products than the USA as most developed countries do. I've
chosen one country for each letter of the alphabetical in order that have a life expectancy of at least 78 years or more. Reason -
A country that has a life expectancy of only 60 years from birth for example hardly lives long enough in most cases to die from lung
cancer or heart disease. For example, countries that start with "E" such as Ethiopia has a life expectancy of only 64.8
years, Egypt 70.9 years, El Salvador 73.5 years. These countries would hardly be a fair comparison.
The countries listed below all
have a life expectancy of at least that of the USA. Most developed countries throughout the world have a longer life expectancy
from birth than US citizens. Hard to believe?
These countries are all closest in development to the USA for a fair comparison.
No reasonable honest person could think for a minute that these countries compared to the USA are a fluke.
First - note that only one country, Cuba, has as low a life expectancy as the USA. The average life expectancy of all countries is 2.42 years longer than us citizens.
Note that on average, these countries have an Increase in smokers
of approximately 39% over the USA.
They on average have a Decrease in premature lung cancer deaths of approximately 19%.
They
have a Decrease in coronary heart disease (CHD) deaths of approx. 26%.
Note that Japan is the 3rd biggest user of tobacco
with a Reduction in lung cancer deaths of about 21%, and a Reduction in CHD deaths of about 21%.
Note that Cuba has a huge Increase in
smokers of about 170% but with a Reduction in lung cancer deaths of about 8%.
Notice that Denmark smokes less than all, and even
less than the USA, but has an Increase in lung cancer deaths of almost 12%.
If there exists any correlation between
tobacco use and lung cancer or heart disease, it would have to be positive. Obviously, those that smoke the most seem
to have less problems with health and live longer. Facts & numbers don't lie.
However, government agencies, billion dollar tax
exempt non-profit cancer and heart disease associations and societies, the medical and pharmaceutical industry, the non-profit
anti-tobacco cartel and of course politicians do. $
Just for fun:
The top three causes of premature death presently in the
USA is #1 - coronary heart disease (CHD). #2 - Alzheimers disease (AD). #3 - Lung cancer.
I thought
I'd look at our second leading cause of death - Alzheimers disease. Turns out, the average of all the countries listed in
the above chart has premature deaths from AD of 20.11 per 100,000 population. The USA is 45.58 - a whopping 127%
increase.
In the past few years, Diabetes in the USA is increaseing rapidly. Deaths from Diabetes in these countries averaged
is presently 9.46 per 100,000 population. The USA is 14.78 - An increase of 56%.
Alzheimers and Diabetes treatment
in America today is another multi billion dollar drug and treatment industry.
But give up that tobacco ASAP? There's a
smoking cessation drug just for you - Another multi billion dollar industry. Oky Doky

Don't think for a minute, that the above developed countries are just lucky. All developed G7, G20 & EU countries have similar
numbers. They all typically smoke more, have less premature deaths from lung cancer, heart disease, and all live longer than US citizens
