Politicians
WHY are they most often lawyers?

Having Fun
Lawyer politicians:
Why are so many politicians, senators or congressmen, lawyers?  Does a senator or congressman that's a lawyer, learn in law school economics? Do they learn in law school business management? Do they learn foreign affairs? If a senator that's  a lawyer was a tax lawyer, how  is this expertise going to help him govern? If a senator or congressman was a criminal defense lawyer, how is this going to help him govern?  Seems to me, any politician could snap his or her fingers, and get all the expert legal advice they need. They all call in armies of lawyers at tax payers expense everytime they need legal advice. So, why do we elect lawyers?

Wouldn't it make more sense to elect a politician that has a little experience in dealing with real problems encountered in the real world, such as in business dealings, economics, negotiations etc. ? What the hell does a typical lawyer know about negotiations with foreign governments, the military or the corporate business world?

When was the last time two politicians agreed on what a law or the constitution says? They apparently all take an oath to uphold the laws and the constitution. A politician  of one political party almost always interprets a law or the constitution differently than the politician of the other party. How can this be? Does this mean that this  politician can't interpret the law correctly?  Or, does it mean that he or she is biased, politically controlled or simply lying.  If any be the case, aren't they breaking their oath of office or are simply incompetent or criminal?

Constantly, we hear lawyer politicians on television stating what the law on the books says about something like immigration  for example.  The next minute we hear another lawyer politician stating that the law does not say that. These people are running our country? Then we hear constantly a liberal television talking head lawyer doing exactly the same thing followed by a conservative disagreeing. It's all endless bullshit. It seems at times, no one knows what the hell they're talking about. And we wonder why the country is in such a mess?

Supreme court justices:
These people really crack me up. They are on the supreme court because they are supposed to be tops in the field of law. They are supposed to uphold the laws based on our constitution  and federal laws. The constitution has been around for over two hundred years.
Whenever a case goes to the supreme court, almost always they come out with a decision where four vote one way, and five vote the other way. What the hell does this mean? Does this mean that four disagreed with what the law says, or is it the five  who disagreed on what the law or constitution says? This is insanity. They all swore an oath to uphold the laws and the constitution. They can't agree on what the hell the laws say? They can't interpret a law that of course lawyers wrote, or an over two hundred year old document? Or, are they breaking they're oath of office with bias, political correctness, or are they simply lying?

This is why political parties fight so hard to get their choices on the supreme court. They know as fact, that a liberal  justice is going to interpret the law differently than a conservative , and visa versa. They all interpret the constitution and the laws to suite their personal beliefs. This is total bullshit.

A crazy fun solution:
Since we apparently don't have any lawyer politicians or supreme court justices that can seriously agree on much of anything, here's a solution.

Are government employs a group of the countries best computer programmers. There task is to design a software program to determine what the laws are and what the hell they mean. They put the entire constitution in the computer. They install all federal and state laws in the computer.

When a problem comes up, all the evidence is simply entered into the computer, and everyone accepts the outcome. We might even consider this computer as not only the judge, but the jury. No more tricky prosecution or defense lawyers controlling the outcome.
Just the actual facts.

Think about it. We have more and more people today wanting to trust a computer to control a vehicle that could kill an innocent person.  We have computers that we rely on to control an airplane with hundreds of people aboard. We have computers that control flights into space that require millions of perfectly accurate calculations to be made instantly with no mistakes or it's disaster.

Can't help but wonder if a computer might be able to do a better job than a bunch of either stupid, biased or criminal  humans.
But then - we might have a hacker problem - OOps - Never mind
